Perlage
Borgo Faveri Bianco
This wine hits on so many levels, not least its demonstration of what better farming could look like at scale. This vineyard sits in rich clays and is trained in the old-school Tendone system with vines over 20 years old and a living soil beneath your feet. If wine producers can achieve this kind of soil-building farming with these kinds of delicious results AND do it at scale enough to deliver real value to the end customer, then viticulture could guide the way for agriculture as a whole to rebuild the planet's arable soils and make more nutritive food the norm.
Region: Treviso, Venice
Appellation: Marche
Varietal/Blend: Indigenous Italian varieties; mainly Falanghina and Fiano.
ABV: 12.0%
Vineyard: Perlage Borgo Faveri Bianco comes from Demeter-certified biodynamic vineyards in Marche, where 20+ year old vines are trained in the Tendone system. The southeast-facing vineyards at 50 m altitude grow on rich clay soils. Hand farmed and harvested.
Cellar: Fermented in stainless steel under strict Demeter regulations, Perlage Borgo Faveri Bianco ages briefly in stainless before being racked off its sediments. This certified vegan wine reflects thoughtful craftsmanship from vineyard to bottle.
