Fattoria La Rivolta

2024 Taburno Sannio DOC Fiano

Often overlooked until the first sip, Fiano quietly reminds you why southern Italy’s white deserve more attention. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride, and then suddenly it’s the one you can’t stop talking about. The old Latins called it Vitis Apiana because the bees couldn’t get enough, and you get that in the perfume with lemon verbena, jasmine, and a little gentle sweetness, all perfectly balanced with fresh fruit and a mineral backbone.

Region:  Benevento, Campania

Appellation:  Taburno Sannio DOC Fiano

Varietal/Blend:  100% Fiano

ABV:  13%

Vineyard:  Fiano from low-yielding vines (70q/ha), hand-harvested in late September and early October. About 18,000 bottles produced.

Cellar: A brief cryomaceration lifts the aromatics, followed by a slow 20–25 day fermentation. The result is a quietly expressive Fiano: white peach, soft florals, a touch of exotic fruit, and that gentle hazelnut note on the finish, held together by bright, clean acidity.
