Fattoria La Rivolta

Aglianico del Taburno DOCG

Aglianico is Italy’s southern king, no question. It carries that old strength you only get from volcanic soil, long sun-soaked seasons, and centuries of being shaped by the land. Dark fruit, firm tannin, a little smoke, a lot of backbone. It rules the south not by showing off, but by standing there quietly, fully itself, with nothing to prove.

"The nose features floral, saline aromas of peonies, plum skin, tea leaf and citrus, and on the palate those notes all reappear and receive a lift from an emergent blackberry element to more than hold their own against industrious acid and tannins." — Danielle Callegari, Wine Enthusiast
