Les Bruyères is a south facing plot on clay and blue marl, planted with selection massale, with vines as old as 80 years old mixed in with new selected shoots planted at wild densities to generate competition between the vines (while each vine is culled to produce only two or three bunches of grapes for concentration). Drink now or age 10-20 years. Decant one hour, serve at 10-12ºC.

Tissot's unique Rose Chardonnay pink mutation also grows in Les Bruyères. The soil is composed of a thick layer of wash silt (between 10 and 30cm) which covers the Rhetian schist marls formed in the shallow lagoons that occupied the Jura between 252-201 million years ago (Triassic geological period).
