Ryan de Witte
2025 Lost Horn Vineyard Cabernet Franc
Ryan ferments this as a single-culture ferment and ages it for eight months in neutral barrels, keeping the focus very much on Cabernet Franc’s prettier, juicier, more drinkable side rather than trying to turn it into something heavier than it wants to be. The result sits right in that classic French brasserie zone: mid-weight, fresh, and deeply gulpable, with red cherry, plum, purple fruit, a little green pepper, and just enough savoury bite to make you start thinking about bread, butter, cheese, frisée salad with lardons, and steak tartare.
