Alexander Zahel
2025 Retzer Land Gemischter Satz
This is such a happy field blend from Lower Austria. Nothing too serious, just a really fresh, easy-to-love white grown on granite and sandstone soils. It has bright orchard fruit, a clean mineral feel, and a little herbal lift. The idea is Gemischter Satz, where different grapes grow together, get picked together, and end up making one refreshing wine instead of six grapes all trying to talk over each other. It is clean, lifted, playful, and exactly the kind of bottle you want with schnitzel, tempura shrimp, fresh cheeses, or summer veggie dishes.
