2024 Carnuntum DAC Göttlesbrunn Blaufränkisch
Carnuntum is one of Austria’s great red wine corners, just east of Vienna, and Blaufränkisch is one of the grapes that make it so exciting. Grown on limestone-rich soils, this is all dark cherry, crushed raspberry, and black pepper. Powerful, but not bulky. Layered, but not moody. Pair it with roast pork, robust stews, cold nights, and happy people.
