Els Lledoners Cava Rosat Reserva

Suriol

A single vineyard Grenache-based rosé, the 'Els Lledoners' vineyard (meaning "The Tinsmiths") sits on a 15% inclined slope on well-drained gravel soils at over 300m above sea level. The vineyard is absolutely beautiful, certified organic and farmed with biodynamic practices, it is rich in biodiversity. The grapes are hand harvested and gently pressed with only 6 hours of skin contact to take on the wine's picture-perfect hue. Fermented in underground concrete caverns in Suriol's 350-year-old cellars boasting a dense and complex yeast population that gives their wines such nuance. After fermentation, is bottled for its second fermentation with 18-36 months on the lees (traditional method) before being hand disgorged to order (the date is on the back of each bottle). Generous acidity and lovely leesy texture. Cranberry, raspberry, and floral aromas opening up into goji berries, roasted chestnut, white chocolate, and almond croissant. Only 8,000 bottles made.
