The youngest and most vibrant presentation of Pago Casa Gran’s red blend series, this inky, juicy wine still holds remarkable freshness with a fleet footed structure. An admirable balance to achieve in this region. Black berry, crushed violets, gentle tannins, and a refreshing back palate. Lovely and superbly priced juice from this holistic estate!

Vineyard & Vine Age: Bull Swamp and Manilla vineyards in Baw Baw Shire. The vines were planted in 1961 and and 1964 respectively.
Cellar: Pago Casa Gran Casa Benasal Tinto ferments and macerates in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeast. Maceration time varies by grape and soil. The wine rests in concrete for at least six months, including three months on lees.

crunchy with a medium body, medium tannins and youthful, fl oral
fi nish.

Vineyard: Pago Casa Gran Casa Benasal Tinto is organically grown in estate vineyards planted between 1995 and 2000. At 550 meters, the vines thrive in white clay and sandy soils with permanent cover crops under a moderate Mediterranean climate.
