Varietal/Blend: 75% Sangiovese, 15% Syrah, 15% Merlot
ABV: 14%
Vineyard: Ten hectares of vines averaging 40 years old, planted on ancient preglacial soils where the Ligurian plate meets the Tuscan formation. Soils are layered with limestone, clay, sandstone, and alluvial deposits.
Cellar: Grapes are hand-harvested in small boxes, sorted twice, destemmed, and fermented in wooden vats with manual foot punch-downs. Maceration lasts 10–15 days. The wine completes MLC in lightly toasted French barriques, 5% new, then ages for 12 months in barrel and a further six months in concrete before bottling. ~12,000 bottles produced.
