Merlot Trevenezie IGT

If your Merlot experience got sabotaged by Sideways*, this is your perfect re-entry point. While the noble Merlot grape traces its roots to the prestigious Bordeaux region of France, it travelled to Northeast Italy by decree of Napoleon 200 years ago and has developed a uniquely bright, limestone driven, refreshing profile that we adore. At only 12% it is bright, juicy, herbaceous, and simply a pleasure to pour. Soft tannins grip the palate beautifully, outfitted with classic notes of fresh red plum, red currant, and pencil shavings, along with a classic Italian note of ripe cherry jumping in there as well. This is a totally unpretentious cure-all for the endless churn of wine trends.

*Let's remember, after all, that Miles didn't want to drink any f***ing Merlot because that '61 Cheval Blanc in his closet at home reminded him of the love he lost with his wife. Unlike that wine, this wine would be totally at home in a fast food cup, it's so gulpable.
