Le Fraghe

2025 Bardolino DOC Bardolino

This was the estate’s very first wine back in 1984, and it still feels devoted to drinkability above all else. Bright black cherry and blueberry notes mingle with hints of cinnamon and black pepper, all carried by that stony, saline character that seems to define so many wines from around Lake Garda. Served with a proper chill, this becomes one of those dangerously easy summer reds that disappear before anyone notices. Exactly the sort of bottle I want with burgers off the grill, roast chicken, charcuterie, or a slightly-too-late pizza on a patio.
