Fattoria La Rivolta
2018 Aglianico del Taburno Riserva DOCG Terra di Rivolta
"The organic Fattoria La Rivolta 2018 Aglianico del Taburno Riserva Terra di Rivolta shows budding tertiary notes with dusty earth and old spice. It shows dried aromas with cured leather and tobacco leaf. That savoury side is quite developed in this vintage, and it comes at the expense of primary fruit freshness. I have shortened the drinking window as a result. The 14.5% alcohol content does not go unnoticed. This is a release of 4,000 bottles. Drink 2025 - 2029." -90 pts, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
"The nose is smoky, earthy and umami, with aromas of tobacco, dirt, pepper and tart blackberries. The palate brings sweeter berries and citrus, plus more earth and pepper for balance, but the tannins are absolutely militant and have everything very tightly sewn up." -91pts, Danielle Callegari, Wine Enthusiast
