Cordero San Giorgio

2021 Pinot Nero dell’Oltrepò Pavese Riserva DOC V18

Coming from a cooler, forest-protected site with north-east exposure, V18 is the more delicate side of the Cordero Pinots. Where SG ’67 leans deeper and more savoury, V18 moves with a softer, silkier touch, all red berries, violet, jasmine, spice, and that beautifully airy perfume. The tannins are beautifully woven, the acidity keeps everything humming, and it moves with a kind of effortless poise that feels both deeply Italian and unmistakably Pinot.

“Meaty and juicy, this red has aromas of grilled herbs, orange rind, earth and spices. It’s medium-bodied with nicely integrated tannins and excellent flavor concentration. Drink now or hold”. -92 pts, Claire Nesbitt, James Suckling (Feb 2026)
