2025 Verduno Pelaverga DOC Pelaverga

Pelaverga can only be grown around Verduno, which already makes it a pretty rare little thing. Fewer than 30 producers make it, and after years of quietly flying under the radar, demand is finally beginning to catch up. Light in colour but never short on personality, this is Piemonte’s peppery heartbreaker. Violets, red cherry, and a bright flicker of white pepper make it instantly charming, while silky tannins and fresh acidity keep the palate lifted and beautifully balanced. Serve it slightly chilled, around 14 to 16°C, and watch it disappear.
