Domaine Olga Raffault

2021 Chinon AOC Les Barnabés

This single vineyard Cabernet Franc from the Les Barnabés lieu-dit is super floral and open, being grown on alluvial deposits. This lieu-dit is the furthest west in Chinon and sits near the confluence where the Vienne tributary joins the Loire. These exposed gravels of the Vienne River just west of Savigny-en-Véron make for a more delicate wine with a tremendous bouquet.

Les Barnabés has notes of blackcurrant, raspberry, violet...This cuvée is best enjoyed on release at around 14-16°C and pairs beautifully with white meats and roasted dishes.
