2023 Collines Rhodaniennes IGP Les Contours de Mairlant

Domaine François Villard

François's Collines Rhodaniennes IGP wines are for the wine nerds that do their homework. These parcels are located in Chavanay and Saint-Pierre-de-Bœuf, the two northernmost communes of the 26 allowed to make wine as Saint-Joseph, yet these particular parcels are not technically within the official AOC boundaries, despite their excellent south east exposure and classic granitic soils and the wine is thereby less expensive, providing the perfect entry point for those curious to see how Villard works with Marsanne & Roussanne.
