Château La Voûte

2021 Château La Voûte, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru AOC, La Clef de Voûte

La Clef de Voûte is the second wine of Château La Voûte, made from selected Merlot parcels on the clay slopes of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse. Blackcurrant, blackberry, and black cherry come through first, followed by pepper, licorice, vanilla, and a touch of cocoa from the oak. The palate is broad and velvety, with silky tannins holding the ripe fruit neatly in place, while plum and light tobacco carry through the long finish.
