Cairanne AOC Sans Soufre Ajouté

Camille Cayran Cave de Cairanne

This living wine is structured with plenty of well ripened tannins playing across the palate without being austere at all, blossoming when decanted from something thoughtfully savoury to a wine that is by turn after turn more floral and absinthe like in its spice profile. Juicy fresh berries and black fruit dance with notes of tobacco and dark chocolate. The length and complexity speak for themselves, a beautiful wine at a stunning price. Serve at 18ºC.

"Attractive violets, liquorice, and freshly squished blackberries on the nose, leading onto a medium-bodied palate but showing plenty of flavour and impact. This has remarkably bright acidity and real intensity, and it’s enjoyably tight and tense. No added sulphites at all during the production process, which explains in part its very dark colour - SO2 can strip out colour from a wine. Retailing at just £13.99 in the UK, this is extremely good value for money." —Matt Walls, Decanter, 91 points
