Francois Morissette cut his teeth making wine with legendary producers in Burgundy, and as such developed not a natural approach per se, but the philosophy of being a vigneron first, guiding the wines to fruition rather than forcing them to a predetermined conclusion. The concern being more the place and the vintage than the process. This level of restraint in forcing wines to become something dictated by markets or governing bodies, has led Pearl Morissette to produce some truly unique, and exciting wines. Honest and indicative of a place and a time, with zero compromises. With various paths to completion of each cuvee, there are rarely two wines the same from year to year.
