MONTEVERSA

Smoky, meaty, supple and fresh. A great little red wine of medium body and ample raspberry, plums, dried herbs and pronounced earthiness. Cassoulets, braised meats, and fall winter dishes are the ticket here. Good fruit up front nose, balanced palate with a really good finish, lingering with Saskatoon berry and silky tannins. Produced with no additions or corrections, concrete aging to punch up the minerality and keep the wine light and fruit driven. A really wonderful Tuesday night drop!
