Bill Downie - Petit Verdot

Bill Downie - Petit Verdot

WILLIAM DOWNIE

In the pursuit of purity of place it’s quite a feat to be able to produce a great wine from a difficult grape, from an area not known for quality but quantity. With no acidification, no additions, no forcing or imposing, Bill hit a true home run here. Deep colour, rich dark berry, ink and violets on the nose. Ripe and fleshy on the palate, rustic tannins, but bright, juicy and totally fresh! An intense and deep wine from a intense and deep mind.
