Ferdinand - Albariño
The flagship of the Ferdinand project; this 2015 Albariño honours its Galician heritage with varietal aromatics of lime zest and a distinct salinity. It is Californian in it’s ripeness and texture, with a supple mouthfeel. This is balanced out by ample, rounded acidity, with a refreshing nature, and stone fruit abound. It has an instant friendliness that I experienced the first time tasted, (out of magnum….) at a driveway party in Napa, surrounded by new friends and great food. A perfect example of how great wine should be enjoyed. Often, without pretence, and with an eye to all the sunny days.
