Suriol is a 400 year old winemaking family 60 KM west of Barcelona in the Alt Penedès with 17th generation vigneron Assis Suriol at the helm. The Suriols operate out of their ancient Gabruac Castle cellars. They've remained true to tradition for centuries, such that today their wines are championed by the Natural Wine movement as an artifact of classical wine. They are leaders in organic and biodynamic farming in their area and sculptors of serene cavas and still wines of place and substance. Azimut is the Arabic word for direction. The direction here is clear: promoting agriculture that gives back to the land! Utilizing their extensive export network in connection with the local grape farmers around them, Assis and his family have created a brand of fun, easy-drinking wines made from certified organic grapes purchased from neighbors (the Barta, Colomer, Puig, and Guilamany family farms), thus encouraging their fellow farmers to pursue viticulture without chemical interventions or soil exhaustion.

Like Suriol's own plantings, all of the Azimut line are created only with the traditional Catalan varieties. These low ABV crushable wines are geared squarely toward the Mediterranean cuisine and lifestyle, la bona vida en català! These beautifully crafted natural wines are the perfect everyday dash of joy and colour that can be fully enjoyed with a clear conscience. And at every day prices!
